Jamie Hammons, Associate Pastor / Pastor of Student Ministries
Jamie Hammons
Associate & Student Pastor

Pastor Jamie 20 years of student ministry experience with him when he and his family moved to the beach from Aiken, SC in 2013. With a passion for outreach, the Word, and developing tomorrow’s leaders, Jamie and his wife Cristi oversee the teams that lead Journey’s young people from nursery-age through college. Their talents also lend themselves to building Journey through mentoring, fundraising, drama, and working with local schools.

Pastor Jamie is often a guest speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and he serves to unite and mentor other youth leaders in the area. He sits on several local boards and committees, including Ground Zero. He is also the “voice” of several teams at St. James Highs School. “PJ’s” passion for sports and love of pop culture is the perfect segue into and metaphor for his walk with Christ and his ability to reach students where they are.
